Senior - Data Engineering (m/f/d) Azure and Databricks

We are looking for reinforcement for the development, operation, and optimization of modern data platforms. In this position, you will develop end-to-end data solutions with Azure and Databricks and work closely with Data Engineers, Analytics teams, and business departments.

Tasks

• You develop, operate, and optimize modern data platforms on Azure and Databricks.
• You design and implement scalable ETL and ELT pipelines as well as Data Lake and Lakehouse architectures.
• You further develop existing data solutions and connect source systems.
• You ensure data quality, performance, and stability.
• You work closely with Analytics, BI, and business departments.
• You participate in architecture and technology decisions as well as internal use cases for Data Ingestion and Data Preparation.

Qualifications

• You have completed a degree in a STEM field or Business Informatics, or have a comparable qualification.
• You bring three to five years of professional experience in Data Engineering.
• You have designed and implemented end-to-end data solutions, ideally with Databricks and Azure.
• You are familiar with Data Lakehouse architectures, ETL and ELT, streaming, and distributed data processing.
• You have knowledge of Python, SQL, Apache Spark, and Delta Lake, as well as experience with Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD pipelines, for example with Terraform.
• You work independently and with a focus on quality, communicate technical content understandably, and enjoy working with diverse teams.
