Senior Data Engineer (m/f/d) – Snowflake
Job description
Fancy a special challenge?
Do you want to actively shape the technical foundation for data-driven decisions and not just manage existing systems? Then become part of our team as a Senior Data Engineer and take our data landscape to the next level. You will develop scalable data architectures, be responsible for business-critical pipelines, and actively shape how data is used in the company. With us, you will work on solutions that have a real impact: for our teams, our processes, and our future. Let's ride together!
What you need to be successful
- Technical Expertise: Profound experience in Data Engineering as well as confident handling of SQL, Python, and modern data platforms (especially with Snowflake) characterize you.
- Pipelines & Data Processing: You bring experience in building and operating ETL/ELT processes and the ability to efficiently process large amounts of data.
- Architecture & Data Modeling: You are very familiar with scalable data architectures (e.g., Data Lake, Data Warehouse) and data modeling, and ideally have experience with workflow orchestration tools like Airflow or Dagster.
- Cloud & Platforms: Experience with cloud environments, ideally with a focus on Azure (e.g., in the context of BI/Power BI), as well as a good understanding of existing AWS structures are part of your profile.
- Quality Awareness: A strong awareness for clean, stable, and maintainable data solutions is a matter of course for you.
- Working Style & Mindset: A structured, self-reliant way of working and a high standard of quality characterize your daily work.
- Language Proficiency: You also have very good German and good English skills.
- Flexibility: Whether remote or on-site, you work flexibly and adapt easily to different work models.
Your contribution to our success story
- Ownership & Development: You will take technical responsibility for our data landscape and actively further develop our Snowflake-based data platform.
- Business-Critical Systems: Data solutions with a direct impact on central business processes are part of your area of responsibility.
- Architecture & Scaling: You will strategically further develop our data architecture and ensure scalability and maintainability.
- Pipelines & Operations: The conception, implementation, and optimization of high-performance data pipelines with a focus on stability are among your key tasks.
- Standards & Governance: You will actively shape the definition and establishment of company-wide standards for data quality, modeling, and architecture.
- Stakeholder Management: As an interface, you will work closely with business departments and other companies and ensure clear prioritization and implementation.
- Technical Leadership & Enablement: You will independently be responsible for reviews, coaching, and the technical further development of the team.
- Further Development & Innovation: You will evaluate and selectively use new technologies to continuously develop our data platform.
