Senior Data Engineer (m/w/d) - Cloud, Products & Innovation

Aufgaben

• Architektur & Pipeline-Design: You design, build, and optimize scalable data pipelines and modern data platforms in the cloud environment (e.g. with STACKIT).
• Produktentwicklung mit Impact: You shape the data infrastructure for our internal showcase products actively – from real-time location recognition in the BOS sector (X-PLORE) to smart data processing in the forest (TimberNex).
• Kundenprojekte auf Top-Niveau: You support exciting customers, including those from the logistics industry, with complex data integrations and challenging IT projects.
• Modern Tooling & Streaming: You connect systems via Service Busse and Message Queues, transform data with dbt and Talend, and make it performant usable in Exasol.
• Data Excellence: You establish high standards for Data Governance and Data Quality, ensuring that our data is always reliable, secure, and compliance-conform.
• Innovation & AI: You experiment with LLMs and integrate KI-based workflows into our data structures.

Qualifikation

• Erfahrung: You are an experienced Senior Data Engineer (m/w/d) with a deep understanding of modern data architectures.
• Tech Stack: You are familiar with tools like dbt, Talend, and relational/analytical databases (ideally Exasol).
• Cloud & Integration: You have extensive experience with cloud infrastructure (ideally STACKIT or comparable European/global clouds) as well as event-driven architectures (Message Queues / Service Bus).
• Qualitätsbewusstsein: Data Governance and Data Quality are not buzzwords for you, but lived practice in the software life cycle.
• Mindset & Vibe Coding: You have a high affinity to new technologies. You know how to use KI tools (LLMs) efficiently in your development workflow and have a desire for „Vibe Coding“ – smart, KI-based prototyping and development that focuses on concept, architecture, and speed.
• Arbeitsweise: Fluent German and good English skills as well as enthusiasm for teamwork in Kayhude (flexible on-site or hybrid model).
• > Nice to have: You have gasoline in your blood or at least no fear of mud and off-road terrain, if we test our products in the field.
