Responsibilities
- Design and implementation of modern data architectures (e.g., Medallion Architecture, Data Lakehouse)
- Development and optimization of data pipelines (batch & streaming) with Kafka, Spark/Databricks, and cloud services such as Azure Data Factory
- Utilization and integration of core Databricks components such as Unity Catalog or AI/BI Genie
- Ensuring Data & AI Governance, Security, and Compliance in cloud architectures
- Support in building and presenting customer demos and participation in presales topics
- Collaboration with cross-functional teams in agile projects (Scrum/Kanban)
- Responsibility for DevOps processes, CI/CD pipelines, and automation with Terraform and other infrastructure tools
- Close collaboration with clients and internal stakeholders to translate technical solutions into business context
Qualifications
- University degree in (Business) Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, or a comparable field.
- Several years of experience in developing data engineering solutions with Databricks, Apache Spark, SQL, and cloud platforms.
- Know-how in Big Data Architectures (Data Lakes, Delta Lakes, DWH, ETL/ELT, streaming technologies).
- Experience with programming & automation (Python, Scala, SQL, Terraform, CI/CD).
- Very good language skills in German and English.
- Nice-to-have: Knowledge in MLOps, DBT, or Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC).
- Willingness to travel within the DACH region.
- Fluent German and English skills (C1).
- Salary range for this position (Medior-Level): €62,000 – €72,000 gross/year. Final classification depends on experience and skillset.
