Senior Data Engineer BI (ID: 3175)

Job description

Senior Data Engineer BI will:
  • Design, build, and maintain robust data infrastructure to process and make HR-related data available.
  • Support large IT migrations and ensure integrations are effectively transferred to a modern data foundation.
  • Intensively collaborate with IT engineers, project leaders, data analysts, HR specialists, and other stakeholders.
  • Translate complex HR and business questions into scalable and secure data solutions.
  • Optimize ETL processes, integrate new data sources, and ensure data quality.
  • Work with advanced technologies such as Azure, Snowflake, Azure Data Factory, DevOps pipelines, and more.
  • Built, managed, and documented data pipelines that guarantee reliable availability of dashboards, reports, and analyses.
  • Contribute to the professionalization of data architecture and responsible handling of sensitive information.
  • Actively collaborate within a self-managing team of developers and a product owner, with shared success at the center.
What you bring:
  • At least 5 years of experience as a Data Engineer or in a comparable role within ETL-, BI- or Data Warehouse-environments.
  • Strong expertise in data modeling (conceptual, object-oriented, and dimensional modeling).
  • Demonstrable experience with Snowflake and SNOW-SQL.
  • Knowledge of data integration, deployment automation, and version control.
  • Experience working in agile, multidisciplinary teams and the ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Excellent command of the Dutch language, both verbally and written.
  • A proactive and solution-oriented mindset with a passion for data-driven innovation.
You possess the skills to:
  • Prioritize and integrate new data sources, making them available within data marts.
  • Deliver robust data pipelines from source to end-user, focusing on performance and reliability.
  • Write well-tested, documented, and production-ready code with the right quality controls.
  • Bidirectional architecting and align solutions with best practices and guidelines.
  • Work effectively together, share knowledge, and support team members within a self-managing team.
