Role: Senior Data Engineer We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Data Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our data engineering group, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining large-scale data processing systems, as well as collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions. Responsibilities: • Design, develop, test, and deploy scalable and efficient data processing systems using various programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala. • Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and other stakeholders to understand business requirements and design data pipelines that meet those needs. • Develop and maintain complex data workflows, including data ingestion, processing, and storage. • Ensure the quality and reliability of data processing systems by implementing monitoring, logging, and alerting mechanisms. • Participate in code reviews and contribute to the development of best practices for data engineering within the team. • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies in data engineering and apply that knowledge to improve our solutions. Requirements: • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field. • At least 5 years of experience in data engineering, preferably in the financial services sector. • Strong understanding of data processing systems, including data ingestion, processing, and storage. • Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala. • Experience with big data technologies like Hadoop, Spark, or NoSQL databases. • Familiarity with cloud-based platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
