To strengthen our team in Gießen, we are looking for a

(Senior-) Data Architect (m/f/d)

Full-time

Tasks

  • Review and build the data architecture as well as analyze the existing data landscape
  • Build and expand the data infrastructure to ensure a robust and scalable data basis
  • Identify and implement value creation potentials through data-driven approaches and analyses
  • Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualizations for decision support
  • Process, cleanse, and analyze large, heterogeneous datasets from various sources
  • Collaborate with internal departments to identify and define data-related requirements
  • Support the development and implementation of data-driven strategies and processes

Qualifications

  • Successfully completed degree in Business Informatics, Data Science, Computer Science, or a comparable field
  • At least 3 years of experience in a similar role
  • In-depth knowledge of ETL or ELT tools (e.g., DBT, DLT, Dagster) as well as strong SQL skills
  • Experience in processing various data formats (e.g., with Python)
  • Experience in building and optimizing data infrastructures and architectures, ideally within a Snowflake DWH
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Azure technologies (Microsoft Fabrics, Power BI, and Azure SQL) and their application in Big Data projects
  • Analytical thinking combined with a feel for value creation through data. Ability to present complex issues clearly and persuasively
  • Structured, independent way of working and enjoyment of teamwork
  • Very good German language skills (language level C2) as well as good English language skills (minimum language level B2)
