Job description
Our E-commerce Data Analytics team is looking for a Senior Data Analyst - Traffic / Acquisition (f/m/d) on a permanent contract based in Paris or Lille.
ABOUT THE TEAM
The E-commerce Data Analytics team (around 10 people) supports Decathlon's international E-commerce challenges. Our mission is to democratize data-driven decision-making to make our digital products ever more efficient, fluid, and user-centric. Within the Acquisition scope, you will work in close proximity with a Product team dedicated to SEO, Traffic, and E-commerce content performance topics to showcase our solutions and maximize the visibility of our offers worldwide.
YOUR FUTURE CONTRIBUTION
As a Senior Data Analyst (f/m/d), your role will be to provide strategic analytical vision to support the dedicated Product team.
Your main missions:
- SEO & Search Expertise: Leverage data from Google Search Console and SEO tools to measure the impact of technical and content optimizations on organic performance.
- Digital Channel Performance: Analyze traffic by acquisition channel, understand attribution mechanisms, and monitor the performance of optimizations implemented within the team.
- GEO & LLM Tracking Innovation: Measure, track, and analyze traffic originating from LLM models and generative engines to support our GEO strategy.
- Content Performance: Evaluate the effectiveness and value created by editorial content and assist teams in its continuous optimization.
- Strategic Decision-Making: Provide data-based insights to guide the product roadmap, help teams prioritize value-creating initiatives. Synthesize this data into clear and directly actionable recommendations.
- Business Partner: Work in close partnership with Product teams to define success metrics, share analyses with countries, and inform decision-making for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Data Quality Guardian: Define and refine tracking needs with the responsible team to ensure accurate and reliable data collection.
WHAT YOU BRING
- Web Analytics & Digital Marketing Expertise: Advanced knowledge of web traffic analysis tools (Amplitude) and SEO platforms (Google Search Console), combined with a strong mastery of traffic analysis and acquisition channel performance.
- Advanced Data Skills: Expert proficiency in the SQL language and practical experience with Cloud/Big Data environments like Databricks for processing and cross-referencing large volumes of data.
- Solid SEO Expertise: Good understanding of technical SEO (indexing, site architecture, Core Web Vitals).
- Curious Profile & Continuous Learning: High intellectual curiosity, active monitoring of search engine evolution (generative AI, LLM models, GEO), and a propensity for experimenting with new analytical methodologies.
- Product Development & Optimization: Proven ability to measure the incremental value of product evolutions and provide strategic recommendations to optimize the customer experience.
- Communication & English Proficiency: Excellent ability to simplify data, tell data stories, and interact fluently in professional English (spoken and written) within an international and collaborative environment.
- Team Spirit & Data Impact: Willingness to share knowledge within the collective, participation in building a reference E-commerce Data expertise, and contribution to Decathlon's global Data strategy.
