Senior Cyber Infrastructure Engineer (OpenShift)

Key Responsibilities Provide technical leadership for the Container Orchestration and Automation team, driving architectural decisions, solution design, and technical governance. Lead the transformation of legacy application environments to modern containerised platforms across both on-premises and cloud environments. Serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for container technologies, guiding engineers in adoption, best practices, and operational standards. Design, deploy, and configure Container Orchestration platforms, with a focus on Red Hat OpenShift. Develop and maintain automation scripts and tools to streamline container deployments, management, and scaling. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, operations, and security, to ensure seamless integration and operational readiness. Troubleshoot complex issues related to container platforms, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions. Develop and maintain documentation, including architecture diagrams, operational procedures, and troubleshooting guides. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies in the containerization and cloud computing space. Participate in on-call rotation to provide 24x7 support for production systems. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Minimum of 7 years of experience in IT infrastructure, with a focus on containerization and cloud technologies. Proven experience with Red Hat OpenShift, including installation, configuration, and management. Strong understanding of container technologies, including Docker, Kubernetes, and container networking. Experience with automation tools such as Ansible, Terraform, or similar. Solid understanding of DevOps principles and practices. Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud. Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Relevant certifications such as Red Hat Certified OpenShift Administrator (RCOA) or similar are a plus. Experience with security best practices for containerized environments. Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools. Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK stack.
