📌 Your Mission

As a Senior CRM / Lifecycle Manager (m/f/d), you will drive the core of our growth strategy: you will take full end-to-end responsibility for the player journey after acquisition and transform app installs and first-time players into enthusiastic, loyal, and valuable users. Your clear goal: to elevate the retention curve and player lifetime value to a new level, consistently minimize churn, and maximize the return on every Euro invested in marketing through a masterful retention strategy.

In short -> You will build the fundamental lifecycle program from scratch, protect the value of our expanding user base, and make it our biggest growth engine sustainably!

Responsibilities

  • Operational management and optimization of daily lifecycle campaigns via push notifications, email, and in-app messaging in CleverTap.
  • Concept, implementation, and support of automated journeys across the phases of onboarding, activation, retention, winback, and monetization.
  • Development of behavior- and lifecycle-based segmentation and targeting logic to ensure the optimal message at the right time.
  • Systematic execution of A/B tests regarding messaging, timing, channel, and offers, including ongoing documentation of learnings.
  • Analysis of retention curves, cohorts, engagement, churn, and LTV, and building suitable dashboards in collaboration with the Data team.
  • Strategic management of the post-acquisition player journey and holistic responsibility for the entire lifecycle funnel.
  • Close coordination and alignment of joint initiatives with the Marketing, User Acquisition, Social Media, Data, and Product teams.
  • Ensuring all relevant compliance requirements (especially GlüStV) as well as consideration of responsible gaming principles and specific communication guidelines in the lottery environment.

Qualifications

Must-have:

  • In-depth, practical experience with marketing automation platforms (e.g., CleverTap, Braze, Leanplum, Iterable, MoEngage), including independent technical implementation of campaigns.
  • Demonstrable experience in cross-channel mobile communication via push notifications, email, and in-app messaging.
  • Sound knowledge of behavior-based segmentation as well as end-to-end development and rollout of multi-stage, automated customer journeys.
  • Practical experience in the design, evaluation, and iterative optimization of A/B tests and experiments.
  • Proficient use of product analytics tools (e.g., Amplitude, Mixpanel, GA4), in building dashboards, and in analyzing spreadsheet models, retention curves, and cohorts.
  • Strong understanding of relevant mobile lifecycle KPIs such as churn, LTV, DAU/MAU, and retention rates.
  • Fluent German and very good English skills for daily work in the team.

Soft skills:

  • Ownership mindset — Taking initiative and acting independently.
  • Data-driven & experiment-oriented — Data-driven and agile working style.
  • Player-empathy / customer-centric — Strong customer focus & empathy.
  • Collaborative — Team player.
  • Detail-oriented — High level of attention to detail.
  • Comfortable with startup ambiguity — Confidence in handling dynamic environments.
  • Responsible-gaming mindset — Sense of responsibility (Responsible Gaming).

Your background:

  • 3-5 years of solid professional experience in CRM, Lifecycle, or Retention Marketing.
  • A strong background in B2C Consumer Apps (mobile-first, install-driven business model) is expressly preferred.
  • Completed Bachelor's degree or a comparable qualification acquired in practice.
  • Ideally, initial experience in highly regulated industries such as lotteries, fintech, or gaming (iGaming).
  • Experience in building a lifecycle marketing structure from an early or very lean starting point.
