(Senior) Course Operations Manager (m/f/d)

You will be responsible for the operational and organizational processes of our further education programs. We work together behind the scenes, keep things on track, and ensure that our courses run smoothly and our participants have a really good experience.

Who We Are
Zukunftsmotor is an innovative further education institute focused on future skills for professions facing a high shortage of skilled workers. We are a young team of 40 people with the shared goal of giving people a second chance at education.

• End-to-End Course Operations Responsibility: You will be responsible for the smooth running of the course from the first to the last day and ensure that operational deadlines are met across all stakeholder groups. You will translate between departments and participants and quickly find solutions for short-term problems.

• Location Management: You will be centrally responsible for our locations in Berlin, Hamburg, Bielefeld, and Munich, maintaining communication with the local contact persons and driving the further development and scaling of these locations.

• Continuous Process Optimization: You will regularly review our existing processes, identify potential for optimization, automation, or streamlining, and ensure that the current status is documented in a user-oriented manner.

• Multi-Stakeholder Projects: You will turn identified improvements into projects with internal and external stakeholders and manage them to completion.

• Management of External Stakeholders: You will manage our external partners (e.g., co-working spaces, educational publishers, our external certification body), negotiate contracts, and ensure that their work contributes to the successful course progress.

• Experience:

  • A successfully completed degree or apprenticeship in business administration, social sciences, or natural sciences.
  • Several years of practical experience in dynamic startup or scale-up environments, ideally with multi-stakeholder projects and in operations.

• Skills:

  • Problem-Solving Skills: You can quickly empathize with the perspectives of others and proactively find independent solutions. You can easily translate problem orientation into solution orientation and see opportunities where others see limitations.
  • Hands-on Doer: As a small team, spontaneous and new tasks often arise that are distributed within the team. You enjoy hands-on operational involvement, take on responsibility at short notice, and enjoy varied work.
  • Stakeholder and Project Management: You structure complex projects and ensure deadlines are met in close coordination with stakeholders. You prioritize independently, keep multiple topics running simultaneously, and maintain an overview.
  • Strong Communication Skills: As the central point of contact for operational course flow, you quickly understand problems and explain solutions in simple terms so that all stakeholders feel well-informed.
  • Agile Work: You quickly adapt to new circumstances and feel comfortable in an environment where work is flexible and you operate at different levels.
  • AI and Tech Affinity: You quickly get acquainted with new tools and use them confidently. At the same time, you are eager to develop further in the area of AI and find ways to make your work easier.
  • Language: You are fluent in German, both written and spoken (minimum C1).

• You are in the driver's seat: You will receive full professional responsibility for the Course Operations department.

• Working hours: Monday to Friday, 40 hours.
• Flexible and hybrid working: 3 days per week in our modern office at Alexanderplatz (2 fixed team days + 1 flexible day).

• Salary: €52,000 to €57,000 gross per year, depending on qualifications and experience.
