Senior Controller / FP&A Manager (m/f/d)

At Therme Horizon, we create special experiences for our guests – and continuously develop our corporate group. To achieve this, we are currently building a central holding organization and modern finance structures together with an international financial investor.

As part of our newly established Group FP&A team, you will play a central role in group-wide financial management. You will combine classic FP&A tasks with business performance management, strategic analysis, and the development of modern finance processes.

You will work closely with the holding company, our local finance teams, and the operational management of our locations. You will oversee your projects from conception to implementation and actively contribute your ideas.
The Job at a Glance

• Planning & Forecasting: Responsibility for budget, rolling forecast, and medium-term planning – from process design and coordination with the locations to consolidation and analysis
• Performance Management: Management of the group-wide monthly closing and performance review process, as well as analysis of business development, variances, and key performance drivers – in close cooperation with the local finance teams
• Management Reporting: Development and enhancement of reporting for CEO, CFO, management, and shareholders, including relevant investor requirements
• KPI Framework & Value Driver Trees: Development and harmonization of group-wide KPIs and value driver trees that connect operational business drivers with financial performance
• Business Cases & Ad-hoc Analyses: Business cases, scenario analyses, and decision proposals for management and shareholders, as well as independent handling of strategic issues
• Data & Systems: Further development of our data warehouse towards a group-wide consolidated data basis across all companies, utilization and enhancement of LucaNet as a reporting and consolidation solution, and perspectively the introduction of a planning solution – from functional requirements through tool selection to rollout, in collaboration with Data & IT
• AI & Automation: Identification and implementation of use cases for automation and the use of AI in FP&A

Skills and Values That Fit Us

• Completed degree in business administration or a comparable qualification
• At least 5 years of professional experience in controlling or FP&A with a solid understanding of planning, forecasting, and performance management – alternatively, a comparable background from private equity, transaction advisory, or auditing with a desire to move into industry
• Strong analytical and conceptual skills, combined with a pragmatic hands-on mentality and a good feel for operational business
• Enjoy building structures and processes from scratch, and the self-responsibility to drive topics to completion
• Comfortable in a dynamic, rapidly changing environment and confidently manage shifting priorities
• Very good Excel and modeling skills, as well as strong data and system affinity
• Communication skills and the ability to prepare complex financial topics understandably for management and operational colleagues
• Fluent English skills; German skills are an advantage
• Willingness to travel regularly to the locations
