Senior Contractmanager

For Waterschap Rivierenland, we are looking for a Senior Contractmanager. Waterschap Rivierenland has a large water system task in the Alblasserwaard and Vijfheerenlanden (A5H). Within the A5H area program, you will work on multiple projects, including Kadeversterking 1e Tranche and Maatregelen Graafstroom. Project Kadeversterking 1e Tranche
You will work on establishing definitive designs for various canal routes, each in different project phases:

• Height elevation – Realization phase (partially completed, partially in progress)
• Peursumsche Vliet – Realization phase (in progress)
• Kade Kortland – Realization phase (in tendering)
• Achterwaterschap – Realization phase (in tendering)
• Ammersche kade – Planning phase (in development)
• Ottolandse kade – Planning phase (in development)
• Dwarsgang – Planning phase (in development)
• Smoutjesvliet and Kromme elleboog – Planning phase (in development)
• Zouweboezem – Planning phase (in development)

Project Maatregelen Graafstroom
You will work on preparing preliminary designs for five part-measures within different project phases:

• Poldergemaal Laag Blokland – Realization phase (in progress)
• Watersysteem deel 1 – Planning phase (in development)
• Watersysteem deel 2 – Realization phase (in progress)
• Aflaatmiddel – Realization phase (in tendering)
• Afsluitmiddel – Planning phase (in development)

Project teams and collaboration
You will be part of project teams working with Integral Project Management (IPM). All involved parties are enthusiastic and actively engaged in the projects. Additionally, you will be part of the Contract Management and Support team, consisting of nineteen colleagues. You will work together in a social, energetic team where open communication, feedback, and collaboration take center stage. Within this team, there is much attention for innovation, climate change, circularity, and water safety.

It may be possible that you are available for other projects in exceptional cases.

Your responsibilities
As a temporary replacement for the current senior contract manager, you will perform the following activities. During the assignment, certain tasks may be added or removed.

Kadeversterking 1e Tranche
For this project, you may perform the following tasks:

• Kade Kortland: Manage the realization contract as IPM role holder contract manager. This includes, but is not limited to:
  • Evaluating and accepting documentation
  • Assessing performance reports
  • Participating in progress meetings
• Ammersche kade and Ottolandse kade: Prepare a two-phase construction contract, including:
  • Determining plan and realization phase products for the tendering phase
  • Description of phase 1 (design phase and contract phase)
  • Description of the execution for phase 2
  • Guiding the tendering process
  • Optionally executing phase 1 as IPM role holder contract manager
• Dwarsgang, Smoutjesvliet and Kromme elleboog: Prepare the execution contract, including:
  • Reviewing the contract
  • Optionally preparing contract documents
• Zouweboezem: Prepare the execution contract, including:
  • Guiding the internal and external process for the execution of the contract
  • Reviewing the contract

At the beginning of the assignment, you will focus your activities primarily on the realization contract for Kade Kortland and the preparation and tendering of the two-phase construction contracts for the Ammersche- and Ottolandse kades.
You will write together with procurement the tender documents, guide the tendering process, and execute the first phase of the construction team agreement. For this, you are expected to be able to start independently.
Parallel to this, you will be involved in the execution contract for Kade Kortland and the preparation of other canal routes.

Maatregelen Graafstroom
For this project, you may perform the following tasks:

• Poldergemaal Laag Blokland: Advisory role (question-driven) alongside the junior contract manager
• Watersysteem deel 1: Advisory role (question-driven) alongside the junior contract manager
• Watersysteem deel 2: Prepare the contract request
• Aflaatmiddel: Advisory role (question-driven) alongside the junior contract manager
• Afsluitmiddel: Prepare the contract request or support this process

Your profile
To successfully perform these tasks, you possess the following knowledge and experience:

• At least a HBO diploma in a technical, legal, or business-related field
• At least one two-phase (construction team) contract prepared, guided, and tendered
• At least one UAV-gc 2005 or UAV-gc 2025 realization phase contract executed as IPM role holder contract manager
• At least 5 years of demonstrable work experience as a contract manager or contract advisor in civil and/or water-related projects

Additionally, it is expected that you possess a VOL-VCA (for operational leadership) diploma or are willing to obtain this within two months after starting the assignment in your own time.
