Start your journey now.Our Financial Services Deals team advises banks, investors, and financial sponsors on some of the most complex and impactful transactions in Austria, CEE (Central and Eastern Europe), and throughout Europe – from M&A transactions and distressed portfolios to securitizations and private credit.
This is not an entry-level position. We are looking for someone who has already worked in the environment of financial services transactions and is ready to take the next step – with a confident demeanor towards senior clients, sharpened business acumen, and the ambition to actively shape our advisory business.
Your tasks with us in the team:
- Execution of transactions in the areas of bank M&A, distressed credit and equity deals, securitizations, and private credit financing – primarily in Austria, CEE, and Europe.
- Creation and critical review of financial models for valuation, structuring, and portfolio analysis; translating numbers into a clear commercial story.
- Direct exchange with clients, including senior stakeholders – presentation of results, representation of your positions, and active shaping of transaction processes.
- Preparation of transaction documents such as process letters, information memoranda, offer documentation, and management presentations.
- Independent management of workstreams: coordination with clients, lawyers, and other consultants; steering timelines and ensuring transparent communication.
- Contribution to business development: identification of opportunities, support with offers, preparation of pitches, and organization of client events, as well as participation in the further development of our FS Deals Services.
- Collaboration within PwC with the Audit, Tax, Legal, and Strategy& departments to develop integrated client solutions.

- At least 3 years of relevant professional experience (excluding internships) in Financial Services M&A, Transaction Services/Due Diligence, Loan/Portfolio Analysis, Capital Management, Structured Finance, or a comparable position at a bank, consultancy, or investor.
- In-depth understanding of banking business: business models, revenue sources, balance sheet structures, credit products, as well as fundamentals of regulation and accounting.
- Outstanding analytical skills and modeling competence; very good knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint are a given. Power BI or SQL are a plus.
- Completed university degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Accounting, or Business Law, ideally with a specialization in Banking or Corporate Finance.
- Very good written and spoken German and English skills – mandatory. A CEE language is an advantage.

Your annual gross salary will be at least EUR 60,900 (all-in) on a full-time basis for a Senior Associate position. Depending on qualifications and experience, we will agree on your actual salary in a personal conversation. Do you have more to offer than the minimum? So do we.
