Job description

Technopolis Group is an international research and consulting company for the public sector with over 300 colleagues at twelve locations in Europe, Africa, and Latin America – almost 50 of them in Germany and Austria. We advise – often as external evaluators – on policy instruments such as funding programs in various thematic areas. We work exclusively for public institutions and foundations at regional, national, and international levels.

Our "Education and Skills" team currently focuses on **Research and Transfer** as well as **Studies and Teaching** at universities, and partly in other sectors of the education system. We analyze policy instruments for building regional transfer and innovation partnerships, cooperation between science and practice, the internationalization and digitalization of research and teaching, and the promotion of Entrepreneurial and Future Skills (e.g., in STEM).

We are currently looking for **experienced colleagues** with whom we can further expand these fields. Applications from individuals with experience in policy advice in **adjoining thematic areas** **such as Research and Innovation** or **Regional Policy/Development** are also generally welcome.

Together with your future colleagues at Technopolis and our project partners, you will **design, acquire, and manage projects** for clients such as federal and state ministries (e.g., BMFTR, BMWE, BMBFSFJ), the European Commission (e.g., DG EAC, DG RTD, DG EMPL), as well as organizations such as the DAAD or foundations.

Your Responsibilities

  • Science-based consulting for public institutions with a focus on analysis, evaluation and monitoring, strategy development, and implementation of policy measures
  • Creation of target group-oriented reports and presentations based on independent conceptual and empirical work (e.g., data analysis, surveys, interviews, focus groups) in a team with our colleagues
  • Project management or leadership, including leading project teams and client contact
  • Project acquisition (design and creation of proposals for existing and new client groups) as well as networking with cooperation partners and other relevant stakeholders

Your Profile

  • At least four years of relevant professional experience and project management experience in the field of policy advice and/or evaluation
  • Experience in the acquisition of consulting and contract research projects for organizations in our work environment
  • Completed university degree in a relevant field, solid empirical methodological knowledge
  • Team and communication skills, independence, as well as an analytical and reliable working style
  • Willingness to undertake occasional (partially international) business trips
  • Very good language skills in German and English, other languages are an advantage
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, knowledge of quantitative and qualitative analysis programs (especially R or Stata, but also Python, Atlas.TI, or similar) is an advantage.

Our Offer

  • Through close project collaboration with public institutions, we offer a meaningful and socially impactful work environment.
  • We offer a permanent position full-time or part-time in a growing company. Subsidies for using environmentally friendly modes of transport (public transport or Jobrad), for an Urban Sports Club membership, and company pension plans round off the offer.
  • We enable a flexible way of working with attractive workplaces and home office options through mobile equipment (MacBook & iPhone).
  • As an innovative company, we promote the further development of our employees through internal and external training opportunities. We foster independence and initiative for the expansion and further development of our activities through flat hierarchies and an open corporate culture.
  • We value a pleasant working atmosphere and live this, for example, through collegial, trusting interaction, but also through regular team events, including events for all colleagues of Technopolis offices worldwide. We maintain exchange with our sister offices in Europe, Africa, and Latin America.
  • Technopolis is exclusively employee-owned; there are no external investors. Prospectively, all employees can become shareholders of Technopolis Group. Regardless of this, our entire team regularly participates in the company's success.
  • Even if you do not meet all the requirements, please feel free to apply. You might be exactly the right person for this position. We value diversity and therefore welcome all applications – regardless of gender, nationality, ethnic and social origin, religion/belief, disability, age, or sexual orientation and identity.

Further Procedure

We look forward to getting to know you. Please upload your application in German (cover letter, CV without photo, relevant certificates, and a writing sample) on our website, stating your location preference, salary expectations, desired working hours, and earliest possible start date. For questions, please contact our Recruiting Assistant Susann Reinsch (susann.reinsch_AT_technopolis-group.com).

The application deadline is September 30, 2026. Application interviews may be conducted before the application deadline.
