(Senior) Consultant - Payments Transformation

Location: Berlin (Hybrid) | Practice Area: Banking & Payments | Type: Permanent position Accompany leading financial institutions in the transformation of modern payment landscapes. The Role Capco is seeking dedicated (Senior) Consultants with a passion for Payments Transformation and digital innovations in payment transactions. In this role, you will support our clients in challenging transformation projects along the entire value chain of modern payment solutions – from business analysis and functional design through testing to implementation support. You will work at the interface between business departments and technology and gain insights into modern payment architectures, regulatory requirements, and innovative payment solutions within a dynamic and international environment. Your Tasks Support challenging consulting projects in the payments environment – from business analysis and functional design to testing and implementation support. Participate in transformation projects concerning modern payment architectures, regulatory requirements, and innovative payment solutions. Collaborate with clients and project teams in both classic waterfall projects and agile delivery environments. Take responsibility for your own areas of focus, up to managing sub-projects and smaller project teams. Actively contribute to internal initiatives and support professional, methodological, and personal development within Capco. Your Profile Successfully completed university degree. Relevant practical experience in consulting projects within the financial services sector. Strong interest in Payments as well as knowledge of relevant topics and processes such as PSD3/PSR, SEPA-Classic, Instant Payments, TARGET2, TIPS, Clearing & Settlement, Cash Management, or Correspondent Banking. Excellent analytical and conceptual skills, combined with a team-oriented and customer-focused approach. Fluent German and English skills as well as unrestricted mobility in national and international project environments. Nice to have Experience in business analysis, functional design, testing, or cut-over activities within payment transformation projects. Knowledge of regulatory requirements in the payments environment, for example PSD3 or PSR. Experience with agile methods or hybrid project approaches. Understanding of modern payment architectures, APIs, or digital payment models. Initial experience in managing small work packages or sub-projects.
