Aufgaben

As experienced Consultant (m/w/d), you support our customers in implementing modern Digital-Workplace strategies based on Omnissa Horizon.

From requirements analysis to architecture design and implementation to optimizing existing environments, you accompany projects comprehensively and bring your expertise into challenging customer projects. You work closely with customers, project teams, and other departments to realize sustainable and practical solutions.

• Planning, design, and implementation of Omnissa Horizon environments (On-Premises, Hybrid, and Cloud)
• Counseling and support for migrating existing VDI platforms to Omnissa Horizon
• Conducting workshops, technical assessments, and proof-of-concepts
• Integration of Horizon with adjacent technologies such as vSphere, NSX, App Volumes, and DEM
• Analyzing and optimizing existing environments regarding performance, scalability, and security
• Creating architecture concepts, technical documentation, and operation manuals
• Closely working with project leaders, sales teams, and IT departments of our customers
• Technical support and troubleshooting within customer projects and operational support
• Taking over part-project leaderships as well as professional support and further development for Junior Consultants (Senior Level)

Qualifikation

• Career experience, study or training in the IT field
• Multiple years of experience with VMware Horizon or Omnissa Horizon (VDI, Published Applications, and Blast Protocol)
• Fundamental knowledge of VMware vSphere/vCenter as well as Windows Server- and Client-operating systems
• Experience in handling Active Directory, Group Policy Objects (GPO), DNS, and PKI in VDI environments
• Good knowledge of network concepts, particularly in the area of Unified Access Gateway (UAG), Load Balancing, and Firewall rule sets
• Outstanding customer- and consulting-oriented approach as well as experience in conceiving and implementing technical solutions
• Analytical thinking, good communication skills, and a quick understanding ability
• Fluent German language skills (at least C1) and good English language skills (at least B2)
• Readiness for occasional business trips within customer deployments
