(Senior) Consultant (m/f/d) Microsoft Data & Analytics / Microsoft Fabric
Job description
For over 25 years, at Windhoff Group, we have been transforming data into real business opportunities. We think holistically: we support our clients end-to-end, from strategy through technical implementation to productive operation – our claim is to create measurable added value from data.
In the Microsoft Data & Analytics Competence Center, we build modern data platforms based on Microsoft Fabric and Power BI. This involves not only individual reports or technical implementation but also holistic solutions: from requirements gathering, architecture, data integration, and data modeling to governance, enablement, and operation.
At the same time, we are increasingly engaging with AI-supported scenarios around Microsoft Copilot, Coworks, and modern collaboration, as these topics are becoming increasingly important for many clients.
Sounds like a dream job? Then become part of the team now! (as soon as possible, location-independent)
Tasks
- You will gather business requirements together with our clients and translate them into viable technical concepts.
- You will design and implement modern data platforms with Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, and Azure-related components.
- You will work on data integration, data models, ETL/ELT pipelines, and Medallion architectures.
- You will build Lakehouse, Warehouse, and reporting structures, incorporating governance, roles, permissions, and operations from the outset.
- You will support clients from the initial idea through MVPs to the productive solution and assist them with AI-supported analysis and collaboration scenarios.
- You will take responsibility in projects – professionally, methodologically, and depending on your experience, also in managing small teams.
- You will support workshops, training sessions, and knowledge transfer with the client and actively contribute your knowledge to the CC, for example, through internal sessions, how-tos, templates, standards, or reusable solution components.
- You will work closely with colleagues from delivery, sales, and other Competence Centers.
Qualification
- Several years of experience in the Data & Analytics environment, ideally as a Consultant, Data Engineer, BI Consultant, or Solution Architect
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Fabric, Lakehouse, Warehouse, Pipelines, Dataflows, Notebooks, and Deployment Pipelines
- Experience with Power BI, data modeling, and building clean semantic models, as well as an understanding of modern data platforms, Medallion architectures, Lakehouse/Warehouse concepts, and data integration
- Practical experience in SQL, ETL/ELT processes, and ideally also Python, Spark, Notebooks, or Azure Data Factory, and an interest in modern AI and Copilot scenarios in the Microsoft environment
- Experience with project work from requirements gathering to implementation at the client's site
- Enjoy explaining technical topics in an understandable way and bringing clients and colleagues along.
- Proactiveness, pragmatic solution orientation, and the desire to actively shape a growing Competence Center.
- German language skills at C level and good English language skills
Benefits
- We hire regardless of location. Depending on the project, you can work 90% from home or at one of our locations if it is easily accessible to you. For occasional client appointments and team events, you will start from your place of residence, no matter where in Germany you live.
- 130 Data & Analytics Consultants for exchange, as well as an internal further training academy
- Long-term projects with changing technological challenges
- A fixed budget for further training opportunities as well as personal and professional development prospects
- Good work-life balance through flexible working hours, overtime compensation, and up to 40 days of vacation
- First-class hardware and software equipment as well as leasing options for company cars, IT hardware, and bicycles
- Short communication channels within the company, fair treatment of each other, and enjoyable team events
We are looking for someone who is eager to support clients professionally and technically, take responsibility, and further develop the CC together with us. If you enjoy building data platforms cleanly, sharing knowledge, and creating reusable standards from project experience, you will fit in very well with us.
