Senior Consultant (m/f/d) Logistics / Warehouse Planning

You have already achieved a lot in logistics consulting and for your next step, you don't want to stop at the concept slide but accompany projects until commissioning. As a Senior Consultant, you will take responsibility for challenging warehouse planning projects at ebp-consulting, from the initial data analysis through the rough concept to the finished warehouse, and never alone: projects at ebp-consulting always run in a team.

ebp-consulting is an independent logistics consultancy with roots in the Fraunhofer Society. They are now looking for reinforcement for their Stuttgart or Dortmund location because the demand for warehouse planning projects continues to grow. More about the company further down.

Your Tasks

• You will be independently responsible for and lead warehouse planning projects, from analysis and rough and detailed planning to implementation support and commissioning.
• You will analyze material and goods flows, evaluate quantity structures, and derive layouts and warehouse technology concepts from them.
• Together with the client, you will select the appropriate warehouse technology, obtain quotes, and coordinate the trades until ramp-up.
• You will contribute professionally to project acquisition and maintain existing customer relationships if that appeals to you (not a must, but welcome).
• After onboarding, you will pass on your know-how to younger colleagues, for example as a mentor in a project.
• You will advance your own technical topics, such as robotics or data analysis, if the field appeals to you.

Requirements

• Completed university degree, e.g., Industrial Engineering or Business Administration with a focus on Logistics or Supply Chain Management.
• 5 to 6 years of professional experience, including at least 2 years in consulting, either external or in the in-house consulting of an industrial company.
• Practical experience in warehouse planning and technology across several completed projects, ideally across industries.
• Sound knowledge in data analysis and routine in handling MS Excel.
• You think conceptually, develop alternatives, compare them, and make well-founded decisions.
• Project management experience without losing technical depth.
• German at C1 level (negotiation fluent).
• Willingness to travel for client projects, approximately 80% within the German-speaking area (DACH), the rest depending on the project within Europe.

Desirable

• Experience from another logistics consultancy.
• CAD skills.
• Initial experience with AMR/AGV.
• English at B2 level.
• Desire to develop long-term towards Managing Consultant.
