To strengthen our Data & AI team in Zurich, we are looking for a personality who will make companies fit for AI and AI agents through migration, data products, and data governance. The focus is on banks, insurance companies, and other financial service providers. You are a Data Consultant and Data Engineer at the same time: You lead engagements and implement them yourself. 

Your Mission 

You will ensure that our clients' data is ready for AI and AI agents. You will lead engagements around our Agentic Data Foundation, from readiness assessment, migration, data products, data governance, and business context to implementation on the platform, and you will actively participate in the execution. You will work closely with the Service Line Lead Data & AI, Sales and Business Development, as well as our near and offshore delivery hubs. 

Your Tasks 

• Analyze and conceptualize: Conduct Agentic Data Readiness Assessments, derive target architecture and prioritized roadmap 

• Migrate: Migrate Data Warehouses and ETL pipelines with Xebia Axis to modern platforms, primarily Databricks 

• Data Products and Governance: Build data products with Data Contracts and anchor governance in operations, e.g., with Unity Catalog 

• Business Context for AI: Make business terms, metrics, and ontologies usable for AI agents 

• Lead Engagements: Manage projects and delivery teams, develop proposals with the Service Line Lead and Sales 

What you bring 

• Experience: 5+ years in the data environment, several of which in consulting 

• Migration: Practical experience in at least one migration from a Data Warehouse or ETL to a modern platform, ideally in a leadership role 

• Modern Data Platforms: Architecture and hands-on experience in productive environments, ideally with Databricks, as well as Spark, SQL, Cloud, and Terraform 

• Data Management and Governance: Practical experience in data modeling, data quality, and lineage, with a focus on what makes data usable for AI agents 

• Certification: Databricks certified or certification within the first 3 months 

• Communication: Clear and convincing with clients and internal stakeholders; fluent in German and English 

Advantageous 

• Further Certifications: Snowflake, Azure, AWS, or CDMP 

• Data Products: Data Contracts (e.g., ODCS), Data Mesh, or Ontologies 

• AI on Enterprise Chat with your Data, connecting data products to AI agents (e.g., via MCP), or AI Ops (Evals, Guardrails) 

• Industry: Banks, insurance companies, or other financial service providers 

• Languages: Swiss German and French
