What you will do

As a Senior Consultant Government Finance, you will work on various assignments within the public sector, focusing on financial issues for municipalities, provinces, and the national government. You will support governments in managing and maintaining their finances and ensure they gain control over their budgets. You will be broadly deployable and have the opportunity to take on new topics. Your tasks and responsibilities include:

• Advising on finances, budgets, and austerity measures.

• Executing feasibility studies and business cases for public organizations.

• Supporting corporate control functions within municipalities, provinces, and ministries.

• Analyzing financial and policy room and advising on strategic choices.

• Contributing to the further development of digital tools and AI applications in finance.

• Actively contributing to the growth and development of the consultancy group through your commercial skills and network.

You will be part of the Finance, Operations, and Control team, within the Public Administration consultancy group. Together with your colleagues, you will work on the responsible and effective spending of public funds. You will work in a close-knit and friendly team of experienced consultants and experts, where collaboration and knowledge sharing are central.

The Public Administration consultancy group consists of approximately one hundred consultants, each with their own specialization. We have financial experts, crisis and security experts, public administration specialists, lawyers, political scientists, experts in the arts and culture sector, and communication specialists. We are a young, distinctive group that works on projects in varying compositions. Our consultants are intelligent individuals with clear opinions based on solid knowledge and professionalism.

What you bring

Do you recognize yourself in the following points? Then we would love to meet you.

• Academic working and thinking level. A completed degree in, for example, (business) economics, Certified Public Controller, chartered accountant, public administration, political science, or law.

• Work experience at a consultancy firm or with a municipality, province, or national government, preferably in a financial or control role.

• Flexibility in time and deployment, and the ability to work independently.

• Strong analytical and numerical skills.

• Affinity with numbers in an administrative context is a plus.

• Affinity with digital developments such as AI and robotization.

• Experience with commercial activities and relationship management is a plus.

• A proactive and entrepreneurial attitude.
