Senior Computer Support Specialist

49 Solutions is seeking a Senior Computer Support Specialist to provide advanced technical support services for our client in the Federal Government sector. Overview: The role contributes to the design, coordination, and implementation of secure data transfer solutions within the Compute Hub, enabling one-way data movement between Google Cloud and CSNI environments. It also supports interoperability between classified and unclassified domains, while adhering to engineering standards and ITIL-based best practices. Responsibilities: * Provide expert-level technical support for hardware, software, and network issues. * Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical problems. * Install, configure, and maintain computer systems and peripherals. * Develop and maintain documentation for IT systems and processes. * Support data transfer solutions between Google Cloud and CSNI environments. * Participate in the design and implementation of secure data transfer solutions. * Monitor system performance and identify areas for improvement. * Collaborate with other IT staff to ensure system reliability and security. * Adhere to all relevant security policies and procedures. * Provide training and guidance to junior staff. Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field. * 5+ years of experience in IT support. * Strong understanding of computer hardware, software, and networking. * Experience with data transfer solutions. * Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP). * Experience with CSNI environments. * Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. * Strong communication and interpersonal skills. * Ability to work independently and as part of a team. * Active security clearance or ability to obtain one. Preferred Skills: * Experience with ITIL framework. * Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell). * Experience with security protocols and technologies.
