Job Title: Senior Commissioning Engineer/Commissioning Engineer – Electrical (Weapons) Location: Barrow-in-Furness. We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements – please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role Salary: Competitive What you’ll be doing: Supervising, where applicable, and safely performing commissioning activities to deliver the Strategic Weapon System on the UKs next generation of Ballistic Nuclear Submarine platforms Demonstrating exemplary technical skills in electrical systems, including power distribution, control systems, and communication networks. Developing and maintaining relationships with internal stakeholders, including project managers, engineers, and technicians. Providing technical guidance and support to ensure compliance with relevant safety standards and regulations. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver complex projects on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. Staying up-to-date with industry developments and best practices in electrical engineering, commissioning, and project management. What we’re looking for: A highly skilled and experienced Commissioning Engineer/ Senior Commissioning Engineer – Electrical (Weapons) with a strong background in electrical systems, commissioning, and project management. Proven track record of delivering complex projects on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal stakeholders and external partners. Strong technical knowledge of electrical systems, including power distribution, control systems, and communication networks. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
