AJAT is an IT company from Cologne with a focus on IT services, system engineering, and cybersecurity. For our customer projects, we are looking for an experienced individual who understands security requirements, implements them technically, and documents results in a traceable manner.

Your Responsibilities

• Secure Azure and AWS: You analyze existing cloud environments, identify security risks, and implement appropriate measures for identities, permissions, networks, workloads, and data.

• Protect Identities and Privileged Access: You develop traceable authorization concepts and implement them using, for example, Microsoft Entra ID, Conditional Access, Privileged Identity Management, as well as AWS IAM and roles.

• Implement Zero Trust in Practice: You combine the verification of identities and device states with minimally required permissions and clearly defined access rules.

• Secure Endpoints with Microsoft Intune: You configure security and compliance policies, analyze errors, and introduce changes in a controlled manner.

• Automate with PowerShell: You develop maintainable scripts for checks, configurations, and recurring tasks – with secure authentication, error handling, and traceable logging.

• Handle Security Findings: You evaluate misconfigurations and anomalies, prioritize actions, and verify their effectiveness.

• Collaborate with Customers and Team: You explain technical decisions clearly, coordinate changes, and create documentation that others can reliably work with.

Your Qualifications

You meet one of the following two criteria:

• A completed degree in Computer Science, IT Security, or a comparable field, along with more than five years of relevant professional experience.

• A completed IT vocational training, for example, as an IT specialist for system integration, along with at least eight years of relevant professional experience.

In addition, you bring:

• Very good, practically proven knowledge of Azure and AWS. You have managed and secured production environments yourself and can explain your own contributions based on specific projects.

• In-depth experience with Microsoft Entra ID, Microsoft Intune, and PowerShell.

• A solid understanding of identity and access management, network security, logging, and the protection of sensitive data.

• Experience in planning, testing, implementing, and, if necessary, reverting security changes in a controlled manner.

• Very good German language skills at at least C1 level, as you will conduct technical customer conversations, coordinate decisions within the team, and create documentation in German.

• The ability to perform the duties on-site in Cologne from the agreed-upon start date.

• The authorization to undertake the advertised employment in Germany at the start of employment.

You take responsibility and address risks or open questions early on. You document your work, share knowledge, and constructively receive technical feedback.

When making changes, you consider security, operational readiness, and the people who will work with the solution afterward. Even under time pressure, you remain structured and reliably coordinate with others.

We Would Also Appreciate

• Experience with Infrastructure as Code, for example, Terraform or Bicep.

• Experience with cloud security platforms and the evaluation of security alerts.

• Experience in customer projects of an IT service provider.

• Current Microsoft or AWS certifications as supplementary proof of qualification.
