Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer (m/w/d)

We are building a modern infrastructure in the AWS cloud for workloads that still require virtual machines instead of Kubernetes. Do you have a desire to specialize in this area? Then apply and become part of our friendly team with up to 80% remote share.

Tasks

• Co-design and operation of the infrastructure for VM-based apps and services
• Use of modern tech stacks and Dev/AI tools
• Development of internal standards, good/best practices, and paved/golden paths
• Collaboration and exchange across team boundaries
• Free space for your own ideas

Qualification

• Relevant experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS)
• Professional experience around server operation with Microsoft Windows or Linux, i.e. hardening, patching, logging, backup & restore, etc.
• Interest in DevOps, automation, continuous integration / delivery / deployment (CI/CD) and infrastructure-as-code (IaC) as well as config-as-code (CaC) using HashiCorp Terraform or OpenTofu, Terragrunt, Git, GitLab, cloud-init, Renovate, etc.
• Experience in scripting and automation with shell-scripting or coding with Bash or PowerShell, ideally also Golang (Go)
• Readiness to familiarize yourself with new topics
• Awareness of reliability, availability, and maintainability
• Understanding of compliance and security
• Pramaticism in implementing requirements
• Passable German language skills (at least B2 level)
