Senior Cloud / DevOps Engineer (AWS) (m/w/d)

Rockstar developers, founded 2015 in Mannheim, further offices in Stuttgart and Munich. We are a software developer with experience from hundreds of individual projects for enterprise and mid-sized customers.

Short paths, honest feedback, no political games. No hierarchy levels between you and the people who make decisions.

Your tasks

• Setup and operation of cloud infrastructure (AWS, partly Azure) in enterprise and regulated environments
• Infrastructure as Code (Terraform), CI/CD pipelines, containers (Docker/Kubernetes)
• Cloud architecture with input – costs, security, scalability
• Automation, monitoring/observability, troubleshooting of critical incidents
• DevOps culture: close collaboration with Dev teams, security, and product owners
• Productive development with AI tools (Claude Code, Copilot, Cursor)

Mostly come in one to two days a week to one of the offices. Compulsion is none. Only for individual appointments at the customer's site every few weeks.

Where you'll land

Depending on the project: large corporations like Deutsche Bahn/DB Systel, public sector (Federal Agency for Work, ITZBund, Federal Printing Office) and enterprise and mid-sized customers – each with cloud and platform topics.

What you bring

Senior level. Our customers need people who deliver from day one and work independently.

• AWS in-depth – architecture and operation (ideally AWS certification: Solutions Architect or DevOps Engineer)
• Infrastructure as Code: Terraform (or CloudFormation), Docker, Kubernetes
• CI/CD: Jenkins, GitLab CI or GitHub Actions; Git, agile working
• Linux and network and security fundamentals
• Scripting: Python, Bash, or Go

Advantage: IAM (One Identity, Keycloak), Cloud Security, Monitoring (Grafana, Prometheus), Apache Kafka, Azure, or GCP.

You don't have to know everything. What's important is that you can quickly get up to speed in new environments. German on C1 level or higher.

Ai-Tools are a must, not a bonus

Claude Code, Copilot, Cursor: You must be able to work productively with these tools. Not because we want to be hip, but because our customers expect it and we do too. If you hold AI tools for a hype and prefer to do everything yourself: wrong company. Internally, we invest in your AI skills.
