Job Description The role of the Senior Claims Technical Specialist, Life and Health, APAC (Asia, Australia and New Zealand) requires a strong capability in handling CI and living benefit claims portfolio in Asia. The position can be based either in our Hong Kong or Singapore office. The ideal candidate must be well versed with market claims practices and able to assist in developing a prudent risk-based claims’ philosophy to maintain profitability and manage all claims related responsibilities as outlined below: • Assist in the development of a prudent risk-based claims philosophy to maintain profitability and manage all claims-related responsibilities; • Provide technical expertise and support to the claims team on complex life and health insurance claims, including living benefit claims; • Collaborate with the business to develop and implement effective claims handling processes and procedures; • Conduct thorough investigations and provide recommendations for claim settlements; • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including reinsurers, brokers, and agents; • Provide training and guidance to junior staff on claims handling best practices; • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulatory changes, and market developments to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of life and health insurance products, as well as experience in claims handling and management. A bachelor’s degree in a related field such as actuarial science, risk management, or a related field is required. Professional certifications such as ACAS, FCAS, or FSA are highly desirable.
