Remote, South Africa | Posted on 20/10/2025 Job Description – Senior Civil Engineer (Civil 3D / BIM) - Remote (Must be based in South Africa) Position: Senior Civil Engineer Location: Remote About the Role We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Civil Engineer with strong Civil 3D expertise to join our client's team on major infrastructure projects. This role is only suitable for a candidate with proven senior experience in civil engineering design, BIM coordination, and clash detection who can work effectively in a remote environment. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work independently, and have strong problem-solving abilities. Key Responsibilities: • Design and coordinate infrastructure projects using Civil 3D software; • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of designs; • Conduct clash detection and resolve conflicts between different design elements; • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation plans; • Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers and designers; • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and new technologies. Requirements: • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering or related field; • At least 5 years of experience as a Senior Civil Engineer; • Strong proficiency in Civil 3D software; • Experience with BIM coordination and clash detection; • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills; • Ability to work independently and as part of a team; • Strong analytical and technical skills.
