Senior Citrix Engineer (m/f/d)

For the further expansion and continuous development of a modern IT infrastructure, we are looking for an experienced Senior Citrix Engineer (m/f/d).
In this position, you will assume a central technical role and
be responsible for the further development of a high-performance, secure, and
highly available Citrix environment.

You will contribute your experience to demanding infrastructure projects,
optimize existing systems, and actively participate in shaping technical solutions.

Tasks

• Responsibility for administration, operation, and further development of the Citrix infrastructure
• Operation and optimization of Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops
• Administration and further development of Citrix Provisioning Services (PVS)
• Operation, configuration, and optimization of Citrix ADC / NetScaler
• Analysis and optimization of availability, performance, scalability, and security of the Citrix environment
• Planning, design, and implementation of Citrix and infrastructure projects
• Technical evaluation and introduction of new technologies
• Administration and operation of Windows and Linux servers
• Analysis and sustainable resolution of complex incidents in 2nd and 3rd level support
• Automation and standardization of operational processes
• Creation and maintenance of technical documentation and operational concepts
• Close collaboration with adjacent IT teams
• Assumption of technical responsibility for the Citrix platform
• Professional exchange and support within the IT team
• Participation in an IT on-call duty

Qualifications

• Several years of professional experience as a Senior Citrix Engineer, Citrix Engineer, Citrix Administrator, or System Engineer
• Very good practical knowledge of Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops
• Sound experience with Citrix PVS
• Good knowledge of Citrix ADC / NetScaler
• Experience with complex Citrix and enterprise infrastructures
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server and Active Directory
• Knowledge of DNS/DHCP and central server services
• Experience with PowerShell and automation is an advantage
• Knowledge of Linux/Unix systems is desirable
• Experience with virtualization and ideally Rancher/Kubernetes
• Experience in planning and implementing IT infrastructure projects
• Strong skills in troubleshooting and 3rd level support
• A Citrix certification, for example CCA-V, is an advantage
• Analytical, structured, and independent way of working
• Strong problem-solving skills and sense of responsibility
• Very good communication and teamwork skills
• Good German and English language skills
• Willingness to participate in on-call duty
