This is a Senior Child Safety Officer role with Queensland Government based in QLD, AU Queensland Government Role Seniority - senior More about the Senior Child Safety Officer role at Queensland Government Senior Child Safety Officers are responsible for ensuring the safety, belonging and wellbeing of all children and young people in the child protection process. The Senior Child Safety Officer (SCSO) is responsible for delivering statutory child protection services including assessment, intervention, case management and advocacy for children and young people who have experienced or are at risk of experiencing harm. This role requires a high level of professional judgment, critical thinking and effective communication skills to work with children, families, carers and other stakeholders. The SCSO will also be required to work collaboratively with other professionals including social workers, police, lawyers and healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for children and young people. This role is a senior role within the child protection service and requires a high level of expertise, knowledge and experience in child protection and welfare.
