Senior Chef

We’re taking over a fresh, fun, and welcoming beachside café focused on quality
ingredients, vibrant flavours, and a relaxed coastal vibe. Our menu will highlight
seasonal produce, hearty brunches, and creative specials, with a strong focus on
presentation and consistency.

We’re looking for a passionate, reliable, and experienced Senior Chef to join us from the
ground up and help shape our kitchen and menu.

You must be able to:

- Create and refine a breakfast and lunch menu ensuring consistency and strict
adherence to food safety and hygiene regulations.
- Menu Development: Collaborate with our team to improve food offerings and develop
new dishes.
- Monitoring inventory levels, conducting stock checks, and ordering items as required
- Monitoring and maintaining the highest standards of food quality, taste, and
presentation.
- Train and supervise kitchen staff as the team grows
- Work collaboratively with owners and the front-of-house team

Qualifications and experience:

- Certificate IV in Kitchen Management and Diploma in Hospitality
- Experience of at least 2 years as a chef
- Ability to contribute to menu development using fresh and local ingredients.
- High standards of cleanliness and organisation
- Ability to work independently and take initiative
- Reliable, calm under pressure, and solutions-focused
- Understanding of cost control and food margins
