Job description
With the brands Holzprofi24 and Leondo, we operate some of the leading e-commerce platforms for Home & Garden in Europe. We combine modern web technologies, data-driven online marketing, and high-performance logistics to offer our customers an outstanding shopping experience. To strategically and operationally further develop our product range, we are looking for a (Senior) Category Manager (m/f/d) eCommerce who will manage our product categories based on data, exploit revenue potentials, and sustainably optimize the customer shopping experience.
Development and implementation of the category strategy, including sales, margin, and assortment goals
Analysis of market, competition, trends, and customer behavior to identify new growth opportunities
Management of the assortment throughout its entire lifecycle: launches, optimizations, exits
Price, margin, and promotion planning in close coordination with Marketing & Sales
Strategic supplier management, including negotiations, conditions, and quality control
Monitoring of availability, inventory, and demand – especially during seasonal peaks
KPI tracking and derivation of clear performance and assortment measures
Close collaboration with Marketing, Purchasing, Logistics, Product & Tech
Several years of experience in category management in e-commerce or retail
Demonstrable successes in assortment development, optimization, and sales growth
Strong analytical skills and a high degree of data orientation
Strong negotiation background and confident supplier management
Strategic mindset combined with structured, hands-on implementation strength
Very good knowledge of e-commerce systems, data, and analysis tools
Independent, responsible working style and a high level of market understanding
