In a nutshell

As a Senior Category Manager, you will be responsible for several categories in the non-food sector and will be primarily responsible for strategic development. You will handle cross-functional projects that may be relevant to multiple teams, and you will also be responsible for supplier management. Furthermore, you will take over the leadership of the category team, including coaching, development, and feedback for employees. Your task is to motivate the team, achieve targets, and continuously optimize the strategic direction of the categories.

  • Category Management: Taking responsibility for several categories and their continuous development
  • Team Leadership: Leading a team of Category Managers and Associates, including fostering and developing employees
  • Project Work: Leading cross-functional projects to improve processes and implement corporate strategies
  • Stakeholder Management: Collaborating with Supply Chain, Customer Service, and Marketing teams to ensure optimal category performance
  • Analysis: Finding the right trade-offs on topics such as pricing, promotions, and availability in your product portfolio

What you bring with you

  • A successfully completed Bachelor's or Master's degree in an economic or analytical field
  • 4+ years of professional experience in Category Management or Purchasing
  • Leadership skills and emotional intelligence to motivate and effectively lead a team
  • Fluent German and English skills
  • Strong analytical mindset to identify opportunities and areas for optimization
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to proactively address challenges and find innovative solutions
  • Willingness to work four to five days a week in our brand-new office in Düsseldorf
