Senior Carer - Residential Care Home

ABOUT THE ROLE As a Residential Senior Carer at a Barchester care home, you'll look after the different needs of our residents to enable us to deliver quality, person-centred care and support. You will be responsible for leading a team of care staff, which will include training, supervisions and delegating duties on shift. You will also support with the administering and ordering of medication, reviewing and updating resident care plans and risk assessment, and liaising with GP's, district nurses and other healthcare professionals. You will be expected to work flexibly and be able to adapt to changing circumstances. You will be required to maintain accurate records and contribute to the overall management of the care home. You will also be expected to work as part of a team to ensure the highest standards of care are maintained. You will be responsible for ensuring that all residents receive a high standard of care and support, and that their needs are met in a way that is respectful and dignified. You will be expected to work in accordance with the care home's policies and procedures, and to maintain confidentiality and discretion at all times. You will be required to work a variety of shifts, including days, nights, weekends and bank holidays. You will be expected to be flexible and adaptable, and to be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
