ABOUT THE ROLE As a Bank Residential Senior Carer at a Barchester care home, you'll look after the different needs of our residents to enable us to deliver quality, person-centred care and support. You will be responsible for leading a team of care staff, which will include training, supervisions and delegating duties on shift. You will also support with the administering and ordering of medication, reviewing and updating resident care plans and risk assessment, and liaising with GP's, district nurses and other healthcare professionals to ensure that our residents receive the best possible care. This role is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced carer to take on a leadership role and make a real difference in the lives of our residents. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: * Lead a team of care staff, providing guidance, training and support as needed * Supervise and delegate duties on shift to ensure the smooth running of the care home * Support with the administering and ordering of medication for our residents * Review and update resident care plans and risk assessments to ensure they remain relevant and effective * Liaise with GP's, district nurses and other healthcare professionals to ensure that our residents receive the best possible care * Develop and maintain strong relationships with residents, their families and other stakeholders * Contribute to the development of care home policies and procedures * Participate in quality assurance activities to ensure the highest standards of care are maintained * Work collaboratively as part of a multi-disciplinary team to deliver person-centred care and support WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR: * A qualified carer with experience of working in a residential care home environment * Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with residents, families and colleagues * Ability to work flexibly, including weekends and bank holidays, as required * A positive and proactive approach to care delivery, with a commitment to delivering high-quality support and services * A willingness to learn and develop new skills, with a desire to make a real difference in the lives of our residents BENEFITS: * Competitive salary and benefits package * Opportunities for career progression and professional development * A supportive and collaborative work environment * Flexible working arrangements, including part-time and bank shifts * Access to training and development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge
