Senior Calculator (m/f/d)

Our client is an internationally successful, medium-sized industrial company with high technological expertise and demanding customer projects. The company develops and produces complex, customized solutions for international markets and is one of the established providers in its segment.

As part of further growth, we are seeking an experienced Senior Calculator (m/f/d) on an exclusive mandate. In this key position, you will be responsible for the economic evaluation of demanding products and projects, develop robust cost models, and create sound decision-making bases for sales, engineering, and management.

Responsibilities

• Independent creation of economic calculations and cost analyses for demanding customer and development projects
• Analysis of technical documents and derivation of economic manufacturing and implementation concepts
• Determination and evaluation of manufacturing costs, taking into account relevant material, manufacturing, procurement, logistics, and overhead costs
• Development of transparent decision-making bases for sales, project management, and management
• Conducting profitability analyses and evaluating product and process changes regarding their cost implications
• Performing post-calculations and analyzing planned-actual deviations to continuously improve calculation quality
• Identification of cost potentials and development of economic action alternatives in close coordination with the specialist departments
• Maintenance and continuous development of calculation methods, cost models, and relevant calculation bases
• Technical support for adjacent company departments on cost-related issues and strategic investment and procurement decisions
• Close collaboration with sales, engineering, purchasing, production, supply chain, and controlling

Qualifications

• Successfully completed technical training with further education (e.g., Technician) or a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Production Technology, or a comparable field of study
• Several years of professional experience in cost engineering, technical calculation, or product cost calculation within a manufacturing industrial company
• In-depth understanding of industrial manufacturing processes and complex cost and value-added structures
• Proficient in handling technical drawings, bills of materials, and technical documentation
• Experience with ERP systems and very good knowledge of MS Excel; experience with calculation or BI tools is an advantage
• Analytical mindset, strong numerical understanding, and a structured, independent way of working
• Strong communication skills and the ability to prepare complex economic contexts comprehensibly and communicate them across departments
• Fluent German and very good English skills, both written and spoken
