Tasks

• Development and implementation of purchasing group strategies in the field of steel (sheets, profiles, forgings, castings)
• Analysis of national and international procurement markets
• Selection, qualification, and development of suppliers
• Independent negotiation of framework agreements, price, and conditions agreements
• Conducting cost analyses and implementing savings potentials
• Close cooperation with design, production, and quality assurance
• Risk management in the supply chain (availability, price volatility, geopolitical risks)
• Support with make-or-buy decisions
• Clarification of escalations within the supply chain

Qualification

• Successfully completed studies in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Mechanical Engineering, or comparable
• Several years of professional experience in strategic purchasing, ideally in the industrial sector or a related industry.
• Curiosity and passion for technology and economic contexts
• Confident demeanor and assertiveness, especially in negotiations
• Experience in dealing with international suppliers
• Proficient in ERP systems (e.g. SAP) and MS Office
• Analytical, structured, and independent way of working
• Fluent German and English skills
• High willingness to travel
