Tasks

• Development and implementation of product group strategies in the steel sector (sheets, profiles, forged parts, castings)
• Analysis of national and international procurement markets
• Selection, qualification, and development of suppliers
• Independent negotiation of framework agreements, price, and condition agreements
• Conducting cost analyses and implementing potential savings
• Closely working with construction, production, and quality assurance
• Risk management in the supply chain (availability, price volatility, geopolitical risks)
• Support for make-or-buy decisions
• Clarification of escalations within the supply chain

Qualifications

• SUCCESSFUL completion of a degree in economics, engineering, or comparable field
• Multiple years of experience in strategic procurement, ideally in an industrial or related industry.
• Curiosity and passion for technology and economic interdependencies
• Confident appearance and assertiveness, particularly in negotiations
• Experience in dealing with international suppliers
• Safe handling of ERP systems (e.g. SAP) and MS Office
• Analytical, structured, and independent working style
• Negotiation-safe German and English language skills
• High travel readiness
