Senior Business Analyst (6-month contract)

What You’ll Do:

The Senior Business Analyst (SBA) will focus on supporting the development of our Dental Practice Initiative. In this role, the SBA will be accountable to engage with stakeholders to identify and describe business needs in terms of process and business requirements. The scope of work will range from technology, website, data and reporting work to payments and construction/design.

The core parts of your role will be to:

  • Elicit information from various stakeholders, perform needs/requirements analysis, and assist with the identification of problem statements.
  • Examine and validate business needs and goals. Capture and assesse requirements, process and business problems to propose solutions and recommendations that improve existing business processes and promotes effective and appropriate system solutions.
  • Lead the evaluation of current state and future state business processes, perform gap analysis and develop/ implement process improvement solutions. Document business requirements including creation of process models, maps, workflows, and diagrams.
  • Additional activities may include leading/participating in working groups, information sessions, strategic planning, business capability planning, etc.
  • Develop test plans as required and is responsible for the execution of the test plans in conjunction with business units and the project and/or initiative stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to determine project scope, vision, cost benefit analysis, risk factors. Work with stakeholders to develop detailed solutions, estimates, and project plans in support of the business goals and in compliance with project methodology.
  • Translate conceptual business requirements into a clear, comprehensible, simplified manner that is comprehensible to all stakeholders.
  • Follow organizational standards to maintain quality of service and confidentiality.
  • Develop practices and processes to ensure adherence to quality standards, change management and release management processes. Identifies strategic opportunities to add value to the business through improved processes, standards and methodologies.
  • Manage and track the status of requirements and can clearly illustrate the connectivity between business goals/needs, defined requirements, delivered solutions, testing and validation throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Champion and participate in developing and advancing standards related to newer and emerging technologies.
  • Analyze and execute reporting metrics and provides recommendations/requirements/solutions to improve business intelligence to support management decisions.
  • Support enterprise roadmaps and planning by providing guidance on business need and impact that contributes to the overall requirements and organizational strategies and goals.
  • Provide technical leadership to junior team members and performs other duties within the Business Analyst function, as assigned.
