Job description

Upon appointment, the formal job title is Senior ERP Advisor.

The Royal Netherlands Marechaussee is on duty 24 hours a day for the safety of the Netherlands. Behind every operation lies a business operation that must be reliable, agile, and future-proof.

ERP is an indispensable link in this. SAP and other ERP systems connect processes, information, and different business operations domains within the organization. The challenge lies not only in the technology but especially in the way processes are streamlined, information is better utilized, and different parts of the organization collaborate more effectively.

Therefore, we are looking for a Senior Business Analyst ERP who looks beyond systems alone. Someone who understands how business operations, processes, data, and technology come together and who helps the organization take the next step in this.

In this role, you will connect different disciplines within the KMar. You will bring business operations and IT together, ensure more coherence between processes, and contribute to an ERP environment that supports the organization as a whole.

Are you an experienced professional who can understand complex issues, connect diverse interests, and is energized by improving an organization in motion? Then read on.

What will you do?

As a Senior Business Analyst ERP, you will work at the interface of business operations, information provision, and IT. You will ensure that different parts of the Royal Netherlands Marechaussee collaborate better and that ERP systems, including SAP, optimally support the organization.

Within the KMar, ERP is used in various business operations domains, such as logistics, asset management, transport, warehousing, finance, and management information. You will take an organization-wide view of the coherence between these domains and investigate how processes, information, and systems can better align.

You will identify needs from the organization and translate them into improvements within ERP. In doing so, you will not only look at the demands from a single department but at the bigger picture: how can processes be standardized, how can we ensure better information exchange, and how can we prevent departments from developing solutions independently?

You will work closely with users, key users, representatives from business operations, IT specialists, and other stakeholders. By bringing together different perspectives, you will ensure that needs from the organization are translated into suitable solutions within SAP and other ERP systems.

You will advise on changes and improvements within ERP, including required functionalities, modules, and integrations. You will monitor the coherence between processes, data, and systems and assess the impact of changes on the organization.

Furthermore, you will guide improvement initiatives from analysis to implementation. You will support decision-making, help implement changes carefully, and ensure that solutions align with practical application.

This role goes beyond functional management. You will look at the business operations behind the systems and help the KMar to design processes that are smarter, more efficient, and future-proof.

You will also follow developments in digitalization, automation, AI, process mining, and data-driven work. You will investigate how these developments can contribute to better support for the organization.

In this role, you will be a substantive sparring partner for various parts of the KMar. You will provide an overview, ask the right questions, and help the organization take joint steps towards more integrated business operations.
