Senior Bookkeeper

Our client is seeking an experienced and reliable Senior Bookkeeper to professionally manage a portfolio of clients. The ideal candidate must have advanced knowledge of bookkeeping, payroll, and VAT, as well as experience in an accounting firm. This is a critical position for someone who is accurate, organized, and self-driven.

Location: Faerie Glen, Pretoria
Salary: R23,000 – R30,000 (depending on qualifications and experience)

Start Date: As soon as possible

• Bookkeeping to trial balance for ±200 SMEs

• Monthly payroll administration for 40–45 client companies

• VAT calculations and submissions for 20–30 clients

• Providing other administrative services as required

• Working with Pastel, Pastel Payroll, and SAGE Cloud (essential)

• Experience with SAGE Payroll (advantageous)

• Diploma in Accounting (minimum)

• 5 to 10 years’ experience in bookkeeping, VAT, and payroll

• Applicants must currently be employed at an accounting firm.

• Experience handling at least 50 SMEs simultaneously

• Proficient in Word, Excel, and Outlook

• Fluent in English (spoken and written)

• Strong communication and multitasking skills
