Responsibilities

This is how you spend your time:

• You will be responsible for the independent preparation of monthly and annual financial statements according to HGB and Swiss GAAP FER.
• You will be responsible for ongoing general ledger accounting, including fixed asset accounting, provisions, and accruals/deferrals.
• You will prepare and monitor VAT pre-notifications and summary reports and, together with our external tax advisors, assist in the preparation of tax returns.
• You will prepare liquidity plans and ad-hoc analyses and compile relevant information for management.
• You will participate in budget planning and the preparation of rolling forecasts, particularly for operating costs, in close cooperation with Sales and Group Controlling.
• You will continuously monitor and analyze operating costs, conduct variance analyses, and identify optimization potentials.
• You will be the central point of contact for the supported companies and act as an interface to our internal Shared Service Center (SSC).
• You will coordinate cooperation with auditors, tax advisors, tax auditors, and internal specialist departments.
• You will ensure compliance with tax, legal, and internal regulations.
• You will actively drive the further development, standardization, and digitalization of our accounting processes.
• You will support cross-departmental financial projects, for example, with system conversions or the further development of policies and standards

Qualifications

This is what you bring:

• You have a completed commercial apprenticeship with further training as a certified accountant (IHK / Bachelor Professional) or a business degree with a focus on finance, accounting, or controlling.
• You have at least 5 years of in-depth professional experience in operative accounting and financial statement preparation in Germany.
• You have confident knowledge of German Commercial Code (HGB) and tax law. Knowledge of international accounting standards, especially Swiss GAAP FER, is an advantage.
• You have experience with SAP and possess very good MS Office skills, especially Excel.
• You are characterized by an analytical and structured way of working and work independently, reliably, and solution-oriented.
• You have strong communication skills and enjoy collaborating with various internal and external contacts.
• You enjoy working in a team and are comfortable in an international corporate environment.
• You have fluent German language skills and good English language skills.
