Senior BI Consultant – Power BI & Microsoft Data Platform

We are looking for a Senior BI Consultant – Power BI & Microsoft Data Platform who wants to be at the center of data-driven transformation: not just a dashboard developer, but a professional capable of transforming business needs into concrete solutions.

A person able to manage the project end-to-end: from requirement analysis to design, from development to release, working directly with the client and collaborating with Data Engineering teams.

The Role

You will enter challenging project contexts, with direct visibility to business and IT stakeholders, working on high-impact initiatives in the field of Business Intelligence, Data Platform, and Digital Transformation.

You will have the responsibility of driving complete BI solutions based on the Microsoft ecosystem, maintaining an active role in both understanding the problem and realizing the solution.

What you will do

• Manage end-to-end Business Intelligence projects, from requirement analysis to release
• Conduct workshops and interviews directly with clients and stakeholders
• Translate business needs into functional and technical requirements
• Design data models and Data & Business Intelligence solutions
• Develop advanced solutions in Power BI
• Use DAX and Power Query / M to create analytical models and logic
• Work with Azure SQL, Azure Data Factory, and Analysis Services / Tabular
• Design semantic models and data architectures oriented towards performance, scalability, and security
• Manage aspects of performance tuning, Row Level Security, and deployment
• Collaborate with Data Engineers and other specialists to build complete solutions
• Interact with international technical teams using English
• Contribute to the evolution of Gung's Data Intelligence architectures and methodologies

Profile

• 4+ years of experience in developing Power BI solutions; 5+ years constitute the ideal profile
• Solid knowledge of Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service
• Excellent command of DAX
• Excellent knowledge of Power Query / M
• Experience in designing data models and Star Schemas
• Knowledge of Azure SQL
• Experience with Azure Data Factory
• Knowledge of Analysis Services / Tabular
• Experience with performance tuning and Row Level Security
• Ability to manage the complete lifecycle of a BI solution, from requirement to release
• Experience in producing functional and technical analyses
• Ability to independently conduct workshops and client interviews
• Ability to understand business processes and KPIs and translate them into analytical solutions
• English B2 minimum, C1 preferred
• Operational autonomy and results orientation
• Effectiveness in communication and stakeholder management
• Availability for travel to client sites

These are a plus

• Knowledge of Microsoft Fabric
• Experience with Databricks
• Ability to interface with Data Engineering teams
• Experience in Retail, Large Retail Chains, or Pharmaceutical Distribution projects
• Knowledge of Supply Chain, Logistics, Sales, Stock, Purchasing, and Pricing processes
