In our delivery area, we develop technical requirements for our storage systems, drive implementation forward, and ensure that projects go online reliably. For this central role, we are looking for an experienced BESS expert with electrical engineering focus, who shapes planning and implementation of our battery storage systems.

Your tasks

• Conceptualization and dimensioning of our battery storage systems including central electrical components such as transformers, inverter units, medium-voltage systems, and protective systems.
• Responsibility for planning network connections according to VDE-AR-N 4110/4120, as well as coordination with transmission and distribution grid operators.
• Evaluation and selection of technical components from international suppliers considering project requirements, interfaces, and system integration.
• Steering of technical interfaces between EMS, BMS, network control technology, and plant operation with a focus on stable and efficient system architectures.
• Professional guidance within projects as well as ensuring knowledge transfer and technical quality.
• Accompaniment of the specialist teams during installation, connection to the grid, and commissioning, including ensuring compliance with regulatory and technical standards.
• Definition of requirements for control and monitoring systems as well as derivation of optimization measures during the commissioning phase.

Your profile

• A completed degree in electrical engineering or a comparable qualification forms your professional basis.
• Multiple years of experience in planning or implementing battery storage systems or comparable energy infrastructure such as substation facilities or large-scale plants distinguish you.
• In-depth understanding of medium-voltage systems, network connection processes, and relevant standards (VDE-AR-N 4110/4120/4130) is present.
• Experience in dealing with control technology and communication standards such as Modbus or IEC 61850 is available.
• Taking technical responsibility in complex projects comes easily to you, and you maintain a overview even in dynamic project phases.
• Flexibility for projects in the German-speaking region, as well as regular presence at our Munich location, are expected.
• Very good knowledge of German and English rounds off your profile.
