At our regional center in Oirschot, you will be responsible for occupational health care and medical examinations for all employees, military personnel, and civilians of the Ministry of Defence. The department consists of a Head BGZ and three teams in the North region (location: Den Helder), the Central region (location: Nieuw Millingen), and the South region (location: Oirschot). Within the operational teams are the following core experts: Company Doctors, ARBO nurses, support staff, and ARBO assistants.

Who are we? The BGZ center South is part of the CEAG. The CEAG is the independent occupational health and safety service of the Ministry of Defence and is part of the Defence Healthcare Organization (DGO) within the Defence Support Command (DOSCO).
The BGZ department advises commanders and heads of defense units on 'Prevention, Safety, Health, and Well-being' concerning work-related health risks.

Job Requirements

What will you do? You will be working for a special organization with an important mission. Where there is room for your personal development now and in the future. Your role is multifaceted, and your most common tasks are: • Individual occupational health care Prevention of illness, injury, and damage. Occupational health consultations; (employment) medical examinations; occupational health assessments (PAGO/PMO). Absence management within the Ministry of Defence is also possible (in consultation). • Monitoring working conditions Inspections, workplace assessments & reporting of hazardous situations. Also ensuring the quality of absence, reintegration, and deployability activities. • Advice & intervention Advising units, including weighing options, formulating consequences, and presenting advice or intervention proposals with attention to support. • Review of Risk Inventory & Evaluation (RI&E) Establishing applicable standards (together with core experts). • Training, information & product development Keeping professional knowledge up-to-date; developing training and information programs. • Leadership & Accountability Daily leadership of one region within the Occupational Health Department (BGZ) of the CEAG. Reporting to the Head BGZ: progress and accountability reports. • You are a trainer for AIOS Company Medicine

Other Employment Conditions

From 2025, defense personnel will no longer receive holiday pay and year-end bonuses as separate payments, but will accrue them monthly through the Individual Choice Budget (IKB). The IKB for defense personnel amounts to a total of 16.33 percent of the salary. With the IKB, defense personnel can decide for themselves when, what, and how much budget they spend on time, money, or tax facilities. This can be up to the maximum of the monthly accrued budget. The IKB can be used for:

• A maximum of 15 percent of the salary can be used monthly for the exchange of the commuting allowance.
• The monthly difference between the contribution to the costs of personal transportation for commuting and the fiscal maximum.
• A bicycle for personal use, including bicycle accessories and bicycle insurance.
• A computer that can also be used for work or study, including computer accessories and computer insurance.
• A battery or electric parts for a bicycle.
• The payment of union membership fees.
• The Ministry of Defence expects to further expand the possibilities of the IKB in the future.
