Your Tasks

• Develop, integrate, and maintain backend software components for stability assessments and calculations for network security using Python and C#.

• Implement and validate analytical and numerical calculation logic to support reliable real-time network security evaluations.

• Ensure application readiness through focus on software quality, stability, security, and automated tests.

• Standardized provision and operational stabilization of backend software solutions.

• Coordinate with stakeholders and product owners in the context of Agile (Scrum) to plan and contribute to backlog refinement.

• Translate complex energy system requirements into robust infrastructure and architecture solutions.

• Advise on rollout, documentation, and knowledge transfer of security applications to achieve high operational acceptance.

Must-Have Requirements

• Senior Backend Developer profile with a specific skill allocation of 80 % Python and 20 % C# development

• More than 5 years of professional experience in backend development

• 4+ years of practical Python development experience in production environments, including Python 3.xx, FastAPI, pytest, pydantic, and protobuf

• More than a year of practical experience with modern .NET and C# technologies.

• Funded experience with Kafka as a central architecture component for coordinating and orchestrating parallel computation processes.

• Experience in defining and maintaining OpenAPI-compliant APIs in Python and .NET.

• Competence in handling data formats, including JSON, XML, and Protobuf

• Practical experience with OpenTelemetry for system observation

• Experience with S3 storage solutions, preferably with Ceph.

• Experience with specific .NET libraries, including Microsoft.NET.Test.Sdk and NSwag, ideally using .NET 8.0 or higher

Can-Have Requirements

• Familiarity with microservice architectures and patterns for parallelization or orchestration.

• Practical experience with Kubernetes and Helm Charts

• Knowledge of Protobuf as a communication format between services.

• Professional experience with PostgreSQL databases

• Advanced knowledge in encapsulating or integrating C++ APIs in C# applications under Windows environments

• Experience with the Resource Description Framework (RDF), particularly in the context of CGMES.

• Knowledge of native interoperability and external computation engines

• Expertise in performance system technology, including load flow analysis, network modeling, and network security calculations using tools like pandapower or PowerFactory

Additional Information

The work will be done 95 % remotely, with a 5 %-age on-site requirement in Berlin.
