Job Title: Senior Backend Engineer - Platform Team Location: Toronto (Hybrid: 12 days/week in downtown co-working space) Employment Type: Full-Time Compensation: $150,000 $220,000 About the Role Were looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to join our Platform team and help design, implement, and maintain the high-quality backend APIs and services that power Motions core operations. Your work will enable teams across the company to access, use, and scale our data across multiple product lines. Our ideal candidate will have a strong background in backend engineering, with experience in designing and implementing scalable, secure, and efficient APIs. You will be responsible for collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize technical requirements, and for designing and implementing solutions that meet those requirements. You will also be expected to mentor and guide junior engineers, and to contribute to the development of best practices and standards for the team. In addition, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our backend services, and for identifying and mitigating technical risks.
