Senior Backend Engineer- AI/ML Systems

Job Title- Staff Engineer, Machine Learning Location- Bengaluru Skillset-Machine Learning Solution Design (Capable), RAG Workflow (Strong), Vector DB We are seeking a hands-on Senior Backend Engineer (6–8 years’ experience) for a full-time contract role based in Bengaluru (occasional travel), responsible for building and operating the core AI/ML-powered backend systems that power BharatIQ’s consumer experiences at scale. This is not a learning-on-the-job ML role—candidates must have proven experience in designing, developing, and deploying scalable machine learning models and integrating them with existing infrastructure. The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate expertise in one or more of the following areas: Natural Language Processing (NLP), Computer Vision, Reinforcement Learning, or Generative Models. Strong understanding of software development principles, including design patterns, data structures, and algorithms is essential. Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Python, Java, C++, or R is required. Experience with cloud-based technologies like AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure is a plus. Familiarity with containerization using Docker is desirable. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently are essential. Excellent communication and collaboration skills are necessary for working effectively in a distributed team environment.
