We are looking for a Senior Backend Developer * who will shape, develop, and optimize scalable service architectures with Node.js, Next.js, TypeScript, and Python, lead critical architectural decisions, document them, and drive backend excellence in a dynamic startup team.

• Design, develop, and optimize scalable, event-driven, and Microservices-based architectures with Node.js, Next.js, TypeScript, and Python.
• Built robust REST- and GraphQL-APIs that are efficient, secure, and well-documented.
• Worked closely with frontend, DevOps, and product management to develop innovative solutions and enable seamless product integrations.
• Automated tests & deployments to ensure high code quality and performance.
• Documented architectural decisions and technological advancements for transparency and knowledge transfer within the team.
• Supported customers & partners in technical integration and stood professionally by their side.

Qualifikation

Must-Haves

• Multiple years of experience (at least 8 years) in backend development with a focus on scalable architectures and performance (Multi-Ressource Management / Scalable and Events)
• Expert knowledge in developing and documenting RESTful- and GraphQL-APIs, passion for clean documentation, and solid understanding of ADR-Best Practices.
• Very good high-level knowledge of Node.js, Next.js, TypeScript, and Python (Java is a plus).
• Experience with Cloud-platforms, CI/CD-Pipelines, and modern DevOps practices.
• Experience with SQL- or No-SQL databases.
• A good feeling for Software Design, API Architectures, and Event-Driven Systems.
• Self-sufficient, solution-oriented work style and passion for technical excellence.
• Fluent German (at least C1) and English (at least C1).

Nice-to-have

• Knowledge of backend frameworks like Firebase, Supabase, or AppWrite
• Understanding of KI-Software development like Copilot, Cursor, etc.
• Contact points to the Healthcare sector are desirable.
• First experience with testing frameworks like Jest, Mocha, Cypress, Playwright, Py-Test, or similar
• Container technologies like Docker, Kubernetes, Kafka, or RabbitMQ for high-performance and scalable backend processes are familiar to you.
