Senior Back-End Developer

About the Role | About the Role We’re looking for a Senior Back-End Developer to join our Digital Practice. In this role, you’ll design and build scalable, secure, and high-performance back-end systems that meet the needs of our clients. This will involve working closely with our development team to develop and maintain our suite of digital products, as well as collaborating with our clients to understand their requirements and deliver solutions that meet their needs. Key Responsibilities | Ngā Kaituhi Tūtūngiau Mātāurungi Key responsibilities for this role include: • Designing and building scalable, secure, and high-performance back-end systems • Collaborating with our development team to develop and maintain our suite of digital products • Working closely with our clients to understand their requirements and deliver solutions that meet their needs • Participating in code reviews and ensuring that all code is well-documented and meets our coding standards • Staying up-to-date with the latest technologies and trends in the industry and applying this knowledge to improve our products and services. Requirements | Ngā Take Tūtūngiau Mātāurungi To be successful in this role, you will need: • A degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience • At least 5 years of experience in back-end development, preferably with a focus on scalability and security • Strong knowledge of programming languages such as Java, Python, or C# • Experience with back-end frameworks such as Spring, Django, or Ruby on Rails • Strong understanding of database design and development, including relational databases and NoSQL databases • Experience with cloud-based technologies such as AWS or Azure • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
